About Me

I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2017 with a degree in Marketing and Information Systems. I work full time as a Program Manager in Tech and enjoying creating and expressing my thoughts on canvas, when I'm not working.
I am an abstract and surrealist artist currently based in Chicago. The work I create serves as a visual exploration of the delicate, often turbulent dialogue between my Christian faith, the cultural weight of the Black experience, and my journey toward accepting my sexuality.
I seek to harmonize these deeply personal complexities by grounding them against the effortless balance of the natural world. My art is a call to look inward—to stop rejecting our inherent nature and instead find the strength to embrace it.
The goal of my work is to elevate the parts of my identity in a way that others can empathize, understand, or feel seen. I want to encourage tough conversations and transparency with the hope that we may not always agree or can relate to those around us, but we can find ways to accept and respect the individual paths we've chosen.
